Every year, we apply for funding through Community Living disABILITY Services (CLdS) to operate an inclusive summer camp in partnership with the Selkirk Friendship Centre.
Children ages 5-12 can enjoy day camp with children of similar ages doing fun events such as field trips, swimming, game days, movies and crafts. Funding is provided through Family Services Respite and Summer Gap funds. The number of campers and weeks funded varies annually depending on the number of applicants and funding approval.
We are interested to know if summer camps for youth 12-19 are something families would be interested in.
